“Want to Make Money Online? Pick your Market and then, Pick your Product!”
Our last installment was titled “If You Want to Make Money Online Pick The Right Market!” In it I covered the best way to get started in Internet marketing. It is typical for prospective marketers to find a product and fall in love with it. Then they go out searching for buyers. While some people may be able to pull this off let me say right now that they would probably be very experienced and have a large list!
What I want, for myself and for you, is to find a “hungry” market. I’ll review the 3 part standard that your favorite market has to match up to in order to make it easier for you! Read that last sentence over and over until you know it in your heart.
Your target market must be….
1. Easy to get to.
2. Desperate or at least Hungry for what you will offer them.
3. AND they (your market) have the ability (money) to buy and the willingness (motivation) (bald guys) to spend money on what you are going to offer them!
I’ll bet you are saying “OK! How do I do It?” Here are a couple of ways to find those markets.
Since you are dead set on being an Internet Marketer lets take a short look at what is sold on the Internet. There are two catagories of products. One is the info product (Ebooks, CD’s, books.) and the other is the Physical (real) Products, such as golf clubs and Levi’s, cameras and MP3 players, to name a few. You are going to sell one of these two things. Info products or Physical Products. There is one other category but we will save that for later.
You are going to find your market by finding the number 1,2, and 3 Products for sale by category at Clickbank.
Clickbank is the King Kong of digital download info E books and they pay like clockwork.
If you haven’t heard of Clickbank yet, this is practically going to make you giggle! Go there. Sign up. It’s even FREE! And it’s fun, too. At least it is for me, but I am sort of an obsessed oddball that thinks marketing is a kick and fun to do, read about, talk about it, read the mags etc. Feel me? Not so much?
You are going to find out what’s hot in physical products by visiting Yahoo shopping and Ebay! And that’s fun, too! Here’s the link to “what’s hot at Ebay.” http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/whatshot.html (am I making this too easy for you?) Does that take some of the fun out of it?
Now you can do the same thing with Yahoo Stores!
Remember, in each category the best sellers are hot, living proof of a hungry market and an obvious willingness to buy. And they are easy to reach! That’s the 1.2.3. you must commit to memory.
